Northern Cross is a family oriented fishing and recreation resort with a wealth of natural attractions. Lac Des Iles, which is on the south edge of Canada's wild and uninhabited North Woods, offers everyone a chance to catch a big fish - kids have caught the biggest fish seven of the twenty years that we have been operating. Besides big pike, Lac Des Iles has trophy walleye and perch that can reach two pounds. If you have a float, canoe, dingy or small fishing boat the numerous nearby small and undeveloped lakes offer everyone a chance to experience a tranquil fish for pike, walleye, perch, lake trout and trout. However, not everyone enjoys fishing to the same degree, so at Northern Cross we provide facilities to keep the non-anglers and beach bums happy.

Thanks again for inquiring about Northern Cross, Lac Des Isles and the Meadow Lake area. We hope this page isn't too long, but we do want you to make an informed decision. Should you have any other questions or if you wish to make a reservation, we can be reached at our winter number in Carstairs - (403) 337 4000. After May 1 we can be reached for bookings or information at Northern Cross's main number 306-238-4608.
PS As are most resorts in Saskatchewan, Northern Cross is independently owned and operated. We take a "hands-on" approach to its operation, development and construction, therefore Northern Cross does not profess to be a Fairmont Hot Springs or a Panorama Resort with year round revenues and corporate backing. Northern Cross's cabins are comparable to most cabins available in Northwest Saskatchewan and the fully modern cottages and lodge is second to few. However, our staff and I do try our best to provide personalized service, friendly advice and to establish one-to-one relationships with the folks who visit Lac Des Isles. So if you and your family are looking for a vacation where nature, not commerce, still reins, for a vacation with most of the comforts of home and a vacation that you can afford, please come be our guests.
